Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser Review

Okay, so this moisturiser has been everywhere lately - and there's a reason why. A little while ago Origins, a skincare brand I absolutely adore, introduced a new moisturiser titled 'GinZing'; an energy-boosting moisturiser full of coffee beans and ginseng goodness to wake up skin and get it feeling energised. Now, I don't know about you, but my skin is always in need of a good wake up-call, and this product sounded like the perfect remedy for my tired, lack-lustre skin.

First things first; this stuff smells incredible. Seriously, the smell alone is enough to get me waking up - it's a gorgeous mix of zestiness and zing, which is super refreshing and makes it a delight to apply. It smooths on beautifully, is really light on the skin and sinks in like a dream, leaving my skin feeling seriously soft and smooth. I love this moisturiser as it's oil-free, doesn't contain SPF so can be used as a night cream as well as a day, and makes my skin feel amazing. I was a little dubious that it wouldn't keep my oil in control throughout the day, but it does an excellent job, leaving my skin nice and matte.

I definitely notice a difference in my skin when using this; it certainly brightens up my skin whilst keeping it hydrated, but not so much that it gets oily. I really would it and would definitely re-purchase if I had the money! It's at the cheaper end of Origins' moisturiser range too as it's only £23, which is pretty good for a moisturiser that achieves everything it claims to!

Have you tried Origins GinZing Moisturiser yet? What did you think?

  1. This moisturizer seems right up my street only I'm using the clinique's 3 step at the moment because my skin has gone atrocious and I'm worried that if I use anything else on my skin it will just break out again. Shame because I really liked the sound of this! xo

  6. I saw this in Boots the other week and was ready to pick one up. I have soooo many moisturisers to get through at the moment though, so I've vowed to try and use them all up first before I purchase another! Definitely on the top of my list though for when I need a new one :) xx
