Just Give Me a Reason

Jumper: Topshop
Earrings: H & M
Disco Pants: River Island
Creepers: Primark

It's been a while since I did a proper outfit post, I know! The weather has been putting me off so much, but today I braved the cold, as the sun decided to come out for once! I've wanted this Topshop chunky rainbow jumper for absolutely ages, I remember seeing it a few months ago and thinking 'I HAVE TO HAVE THIS'. However, I'm trying to save money, and as it was £45, I really couldn't afford to buy it. So, when I spied it for a mere £25 I really couldn't say no. Rainbowy/aztec pretty jumpers and cardis are my favourite, and I am so glad I got this. It's a great length to wear with leggings and it's so snug and warm. It's oversized as well which I love. I think this jumper will be awesome to wear during the summer too, as let's face it, it's never very warm, and I know this will go perfectly with some of my pastel outfits!

I'm experimenting with statement dangly earrings a bit more at the minute, after finding a few in the sale at H & M, all of which were seriously gorgeous. I got this lilac pair and I really like how they glam up a seemingly casual outfit a bit. I'm not usually keen on dangling earrings but I love these so much.

I'm so glad it's Easter weekend at long last! I'm hoping to spend my weekend chilling out, perhaps doing a little bit of shopping and spending time with family. Oh, and eating lots of Easter eggs. Of course. How are you planning on spending the bank holiday? I hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend!

Just Call Me 'The Voucher Queen'

Thursday, 28 March 2013
I am the queen of vouchers. I love a bargain; Primark is my favourite place to shop, I regularly scour the internet for voucher codes, and I'd be lying if I said I don't ALWAYS have a voucher on hand when eating out (I even debated taking one with me on a first date - decided against it in the end, but I wish I had now - ha!) When ordering takeaway, I'm straight on the web searching for discount codes (and there ALWAYS are them) and refuse to order off several certain clothes websites until I have a voucher code in hand first. I just don't see the point in spending unnecessary money, if I can get a bargain by simply typing a few digits in, I sure as hell am gonna do it. I tell ya, I'm gobsmacked at the amount of people who go to Pizza Express and pay full price. STOP. THEY ALWAYS DO VOUCHER CODES!

So, for those of you that are unfamiliar with the world of vouchers and online discounts (WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?) I decided to put together a little selection of some current codes found through netvouchercodes.co.uk. It's a great website as it features tonnes of codes, and you can narrow your search down into categories, or just take a look at the top vouchers of the moment. I decided to find some fashion and beauty buys that I thought you might be interested in, which you can get discounted through the codes on the website. Happy days!

1. AX Paris are currently offering 20% off to all first-time customers on full-price items, with the code WELCOME20 - I love me some AX Paris and am currently lusting after this lilac dress, which would be a bargainous £20 with discount!
2. HQHair are offering 15% off everything with the code HQEASTER - get your orders in quickly though, as it finishes on 2nd April.
3. Another code from HQHAIR; they're doing a NARS-specific 10% off with the code N10. Not sure if it will work in conjunction with the other code, but it's always worth a try! I am lusting after so many NARS bits and pieces right now it's actually getting a bit ridiculous.
4. Pauls Boutique; love them or loathe them, you have to admit some of their pieces are pretty damn nice. They're doing 10% off with the code PB10.
5. The Body Shop are amazing when it comes to discount codes; they always have one on the go. At the minute they're doing some fab discounts, including saving £20 when you spend over £40 with the code BANK, and 40% off with the code HOLIDAY. Again, hurry with this one as it finishes on 2nd April.
6. Scentsational Perfumes are running a 15% off all Clarins products voucher which ends on Sunday with the code CLARINS15 - again, get in quick!
7. Boohoo.com are doing free delivery on all orders over £30 (these beautiful shoes are £35) with the code FREE30. This finishes on 16th April.
8. Finally, La Senza are offering £10 off bra orders over £30 with the code SHOWOFF. I'm not sure if it works on discounted items (they have a sale on at the minute) but definitely worth a try! This finishes on Saturday.

The great thing about Netvouchercodes is that it is updated all the time, so it's best to keep checking back for offers. They don't just include offers on fashion and beauty - there are a wealth of other vouchers on there too. What do you think to my selections? I hope this post has helped anyone craving a little Easter Weekend spending spree - remember to use vouchers!

Passion for Fashion 2

Wednesday, 27 March 2013
Money Supermarket are currently running their Passion for Fashion 2 competition, in which you have to create three outfits (one casual-wear, one holiday/beach-wear and one party-wear) with a budget of £200 for each. The prize for each category is £200 to win the outfit you put together, and the main prize is an amazing £1000, to spend on all your chosen outfits! As I am currently trying to save my money I thought I would try my hand at putting together some pocket-friendly outfits, in the hope it would feed my shopping addiction, without actually going shopping!

I adore Spring/Summer fashion so it was an absolute treat putting these outfits together. There are so many gorgeous pieces in the shops at the minute, and I am most certainly lusting after some of the bits and pieces I chose. In putting these together I hoped to encompass some of the fab trends for S/S, including pastels (my favourite), and the nineties trend, whilst keeping true to my own individual style.

Pretty clothes edit

I must admit, I'm a tad in love with this outfit. It is the epitome of everything I adore about spring; pastels, florals, sugary pinks and parma violets. Dungaree/pinafore dresses and playsuits are everywhere at the minute, and this paisley dungaree playsuit by Motel hasn't left my mind from the moment I saw it; it's so stunning. I thought I would pair it with this sweet little embellished jumper from Miss Selfridge, as let's face it, British summers are still pretty chilly. I also chose this gorgeous floral bag from Clothing at Tesco as it's so versatile; I know for a fact it would go with about 90% of my summer outfits. I couldn't complete this look without this truly beautiful floral headband from Crown & Glory, as it isn't spring without flowery headbands, and finished it off with some sugary sweet pink polish and some trusty lilac converse. Definitely a perfect cheap-as-chips outfit to wear for chilling out in the garden on a summer's day!
Next up; holiday. Now, I am under no illusion that I'll be going anywhere remotely tropical this summer, but we can imagine, right?! I have to say, I LOVE planning holiday outfits. I think it just builds up the excitement a bit, writing your holiday list and putting outfits together for each day you're away. Okay, so we all know it's pretty certain that we'll spend the majority of our time wearing that same stripy bikini and flipflops combo, whilst everything we bought for our 'big holiday' lays dormant in its case... but this outfit is just too pretty to hide! For a holiday outfit, I knew I had to include a bikini as it is the utmost important holiday essential. When on holiday, I'm pretty much always in my bikini, be it on the beach or the bar, and this one is really fun, and won't give you any dodgy tan-lines. I thought I'd pair it with this funky kaftan (that I've had my eye on for ages, shame I don't have a holiday to go on - yet!) and I think they make a pretty cute combo for sitting by the pool. Of course, I had to factor in that you might actually venture outside of the beach/pool area, in which case I added some bright coral shorts from H & M and a cute little open-back top from Topshop, to cover up a bit. Add some snazzy sandals from Accessorize, shades from River Island, a quirky geometric necklace from Topshop and some bright feather earrings from Boohoo and you've got yourself a damn good holiday outfit! Of course, you can't forget the most important thing - a cute candy-stripe backpack from Boohoo, to chuck your suncream and your kaftan in - or your map if you're one for an exploring holiday! Rucksacks are definitely back this S/S and this one is seriously cute - NEED!

Finally, my party outfit. I LOVE summer nights out and parties, as they mean I can don my high-waisted skirts and whack a bralette out - my favourite summer party outfit combination. I just had to choose this stunning lilac skirt from Lashes, which, again, is something I've been lusting after for quite some time. I paired it with a panther-print bralette from Topshop, and a gorgeous embellished clutch from Accessorize (Accessorize are ALWAYS on top form when it comes to party clutches). Instead of heels, I decided to follow the nineties revival trend that I seemed to be going for after choosing that PU skirt (and that is going to be HUGE for S/S) and chose some awesome pink glittery high-tops from River Island. I know heels are traditionally going-out wear, but I'm seeing more and more girls embrace wearing Converse and high-tops out on a night, and I have to say, it's definitely a trend I can get behind! It certainly solves those sore-feet-after-a-long-night-dancing troubles! Because I love a quirky headpiece, I chose these butterfly clips from Crown & Glory, and added some cute pink stud earrings from Boohoo, along with some stunning semi-precious stone rings from River Island. To finish the look off, and to make sure I'm totally party ready, I chose some big Eylure lashes and some bright pink Barry M lippy. I love this outfit so much and would most certainly wear it out! I need those high-tops!

Are you entering Money Supermarket's Passion for Fashion 2 Competition? What do you think to my outfits? Don't forget to check out the hashtag #passionforfashion2 on Twitter to see all the entries!

Bobbi Brown Lilac Rose Collection

Bobbi Brown Lilac Rose Collection - Lipglosses in Pink Lily* and Lilac Rose*, Eyeshadow in Lilac Sparkle* and Nail Polish in Roza*
Top Image: Me wearing Lipgloss in Pink Lily
Middle Image: Me wearing Lipgloss in Lilac Rose
Bottom Image: Me wearing eyeshadow in Lilac Sparkle

This month a gorgeous, spring-inspired collection is hitting Bobbi Brown counters nationwide, entitled the Lilac Rose collection. It is everything I love about a Spring makeup launch - I'm a huge fan of dusty pinks, pastels and lilacs and this collection embodies all of those shades, making it a seriously pretty sight to behold.

I was lucky enough to be sent a little selection from the new range, and I couldn't help but swoon over the pretty pinks, heather greys and lilies that encompass this collection. Although I'm not the biggest lipgloss lover, I have to say I'm suitably impressed with these shades. I tend to find lipgloss far too sheer and sticky, and whilst these are, indeed, of the sticky variety, the colour pay-off is pretty impressive. Out of the two, I have to say Pink Lily is my favourite; it is the perfect bright-yet-subtle pink. Lilac Rose is also lovely, although slightly darker and less in-your-face as Pink Lily. And you know me, I love an in-your-face lip colour! The nail polish took a few coats to get right, but is a really pretty pale heather pinky grey. It's perfect for nude nail lovers - however I'm not personally a fan as I love me some colourful talons! Each to their own however!

My favourite thing from the selection I was sent HAS to be the eyeshadow. I think I'm actually in love with this little beauty - it's a stunning, shimmery lilac that glides on beautifully and is seriously creamy. It almost has an iridescent shimmer to it, and unlike some lilac eyeshadows it is easy to wear day or night, as it gives more of a pretty, shimmery sheen as opposed to a full-on, solid colour. It's long lasting too - no creases in sight! I've been loving wearing it recently and I can't wait for it to get a little more spring-like so I can fully embrace this gorgeous new collection.

The majority of the collection is limited edition - so get in there quick. The lipglosses retail at £17.00 each, the nail polish is £11.00 and the eyeshadow £20.00. Have you tried anything from Bobbi Brown's Lilac Rose Collection? What did you think?

Postcards from Shoreditch with Warehouse

Monday, 25 March 2013
Coat: Warehouse*
Pinafore Playsuit: Warehouse
Bird-print Top: Warehouse*
Bag: Warehouse*
Shoes: New Look
Scarf: H & M
Necklace: Topshop

If you follow Warehouse's Facebook page, you'll probably already know that I took part in a little shoot with them last week, titled Postcards from Shoreditch. I was contacted a while ago about doing it, and absolutely jumped at the chance. I am a big fan of highstreet fashion so to have my very own shoot with Warehouse was pretty damn amazing. I got to choose several pieces to style from their Argyll Street store and I fell in love with everything I picked.

I'm utterly obsessed with pinafores right now so I knew I had to have this, as I think it's seriously cute and so easy to style. I paired it with a gorgeous bird-print top, some thick tights and my New Look brogue-heels, and finished the look with the most beautiful lace coat I've ever laid eyes on (which has consequently been spotted on Millie Mackintosh - wowzas!), my trusty H & M floral scarf, and a gorgeous pale pink slouchy bag. The bag is fab as it is seriously roomy, and I know it will go with SO many of my summer outfits. I'm pretty damn excited about the lace coat, as it's also so perfect for summer. I don't think I've ever had a 'summer coat' before. This makes me happy!

I had a lovely time on the shoot, despite the weather being freezing it was an amazing experience to have and I'm so glad I took part. Have a look at the pictures from the shoot above - a couple of behind the scenes snaps and the shots that were used in the campaign. Let me know what you think!

Donald Duck iPhone Case

Cute Donald Duck Case - £3.68 via Ebay

Just HAD to post about my amazingly awesome new iPhone case, which was an absolute Ebay bargain. Okay, so I'm supposed to be saving money right now, but I can never resist a bargain iPhone case, even more so when it's Disney, and even more so when it's THIS cute. I've been wanting one of these type of cases for my phone for ages, so when I was perusing Ebay the other day I knew this had to be mine. I adore all things Disney, and I have always been a fan of these 'Cute' or 'Baby' Disney designs - you know, Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Pluto? If you don't get what I mean - look here. Cute right?!

The phone seems really high-quality, which is amazing for the price, and comes with a screen-protector thrown in too. It has all the button bits in the right place (including volume etc.), and although it was a bit bulky to begin with, you soon get the hang of these bigger phone cases. I've linked the seller above, and I was really happy with how quick the item came - considering it was from China and I got it in a week. The only thing I will say is the plastic/rubber smells a bit weird - kind of like chocolate/vanilla? Not that that's necessarily a bad thing!

Just for reference, I have the iPhone 4S and it fits perfect. I really love this case and I'm so glad I got it, for such a cheap price you really can't go wrong! Are you a fan of Ebay phone cases?

I'm hoping to do lots more (regular) videos so if you have any suggestions of what you'd like to see please comment and let me know!

A Love Affair with Paul & Joe

Monday, 18 March 2013

I have always admired the brand Paul & Joe from afar. Until recently, I never actually owned anything from them, just coveted the gorgeously cute and kitsch packaging, the stunning lip colours, and the adorable makeup cases. A while ago I reviewed their Winter collection, and discovered that as well as them creating beautiful-looking cosmetics, they also make amazing quality cosmetics that really impress.

The thing, however, that I think sets Paul & Joe apart from other makeup brands is just how stunningly beautiful their products are to look at. I am the ultimate packaging-lover; if something looks pretty on the outside, I'm in. This is mainly because I love displaying things on my dressing table and celebrating what pretty products I have; after all, if you're going to spend money on a lipstick, it might as well look good on your dressing table, as well as on you.

A while back I attended a Paul & Joe event and upon entering the event I was taken aback by the gorgeous dressing table display. I stumbled across these images on my camera tonight and knew I had to share them with you - any girl with a love for makeup and interiors should find this dressing table nothing short of a masterpiece. I feel like it should belong in a fairytale, with a beautiful princess sitting at it. If I had all of those adorable Paul & Joe products, I would most definitely have to have them on display.

I'm currently lusting after the Paul & Joe Carousel Collection, and I'm pretty sure I need that amazing yellow kitten-covered makeup bag in my life. Do you own anything from Paul & Joe? Are you a fan of pretty packaging, or is it all about the actual product for you?

GHD Candy Collection & My Candy Look

Friday, 15 March 2013

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be sent one of the new GHD IV Candy Stylers, in the absolutely gorgeous yellow 'Lemon' colour. I'd heard a buzz about these stylers and I can totally see why; they are seriously cute as candy. Available in three new shades; lemon, mint and violet, each one as pretty as the other. I have to say, I'm completely in love with my Lemon version. I've never actually owned a pair of GHDs so I was so excited when it came to using them, and was a bit reluctant to use them straight away as they looked so pretty on my dressing table! However I couldn't resist waiting, and after using them a few times I have to say, I'm suitably impressed.

When I received the stylers I was asked to create a 'Candy' look using the make up and stylers provided. I absolutely jumped at the challenge - I am a girly girl at heart and adore all things Candy-related, so to create a cute-as-candy look was a dream come true. I used the W7 Magic Beads on my nails (over a gorgeous lemon polish to compliment my styler, of course!), and the MAC Pressed Pigment in Flicker all over my lid, with a pink sparkly shadow on the outer corner. Then for the exciting part - the hair. When I think of Candy cute looks, I have visions of a 40s style Christina Aguilera in the 'Candyman' video, crossed with a blue-haired Katy Perry in her 'California Girl's Candyland-themed video. Therefore, I decided victory rolls were the way to go. Just so you know, I have never, ever attempted them before, but I found the key was back-combing and hair spray - I wasn't getting anywhere with just freshly-washed, no-product hair! Once I'd back-combed and hair sprayed away, I found it so much easier. I then clipped the rolls in place and got on to curling.

Curling with these babies is seriously a dream. Because they're so thin and nifty, they make it so quick and easy to curl your hair. I've always struggled with curling my hair with straighteners, but after a few attempts I definitely think I've got the hang of it - and it only took about 15 minutes to do. I followed with lots of hair spray, brushed the curls out a bit and voila - you can see the finished Candy-fied creation above!

I am so impressed with my GHD Candy Stylers and they have most definitely become a big part of my hair routine. I want one in every colour! Have you used GHDs before? Are you lusting after the new Candy Collection?

Designer Desirables

Thursday, 14 March 2013
Designer Desirables features an eclectic mix of fabulous women's designer clothing, from more affordable brands such as Brat & Suzie, AX Paris and the like, to luxe designers like Forever Unique (a personal favourite of mine). Although they stock a variety of clothing items, jewellery (I can't stop swooning over the Dainty Damsel pieces - so gorgeous!), handbags and shoes, I was particularly impressed with the dresses they have on offer.

It got me thinking about the upcoming summer season, and the sort of dresses I'd like to pack if I was jet-setting away somewhere hot and sunny (if only, sigh). It's always fun having a peruse of a website like Designer Desirables, with such a vast range of unique designers, and picking out which pieces you're lusting after. Therefore, I decided to put together a few different ideas for some holiday outfits from the Designer Desirables site.

Pretty by the Pool
Boston Dog Jersey Dress: £20, Brat & Suzie
Horses and Hearts Silk Print Dress: £47.50, Traffic People

I think everyone needs a pretty summer dress in their life; one that can be worn eating ice creams at the seaside, sight-seeing or for a romantic meal in the sunshine. As much as I love bold, bright prints for summer, I don't think you can go wrong with a whimsical, nude floaty dress that would look perfect with cute floral sandals. I am in love with the Rare dip-hem dress; I think it would look stunning with a tan, with loose, curled hair as seen in the image, or even a cute fishtail braid.

Glam at the Beach
City Lights Printed Halterneck Maxi: £69, Lisa Jayne Dann
Seashell and Flamingo Printed Silk Maxi: £64.50, Traffic People
Pink Ornate Printed Maxi: £40, Goddiva

If bold and beautiful maxi dresses are more your cup of tea come summertime, Designer Desirables have a fab selection. I think maxi dresses seem to make the wearer ooze confidence - it's just something about them. I absolutely adore the Lisa Jayne Dunn City Lights Maxi; I think it would look equally gorgeous with flip-flops and a bikini underneath at the beach, or with wedges and gold jewellery for a glam evening look.

Beautiful at the Bar
Brooklyn Blue Sequin Dress: £275, Forever Unique
Lavine Navy Fish-tail Dress: £500, Forever Unique
Nude Crystal Embellished Dress: £125, Forever Unique

Okay, so I'll admit that some of these beauties are a TAD on the extravagant side, and you wouldn't necessarily wear them all that often, but a girl can dream, right? I've fallen head over heels with the stunning selection of embellished, sequin and crystal dresses featured on Designer Desirables, in particular those from Forever Unique. I think my favourite from this selection has got to be the Nude Crystal Embellished Dress; it just screams party princess!

Overall I am really impressed with the tremendous selection of women's designer clothing Designer Desirables have to offer; there are some gorgeous holiday dresses on there, as well as dresses perfect for summer weddings or even proms if you have one coming up. Have you purchased anything from Designer Desirables before? What do you think to my picks?

Barry M Gelly Polish in Grapefruit

Wednesday, 13 March 2013
Gelly Nail Polish in Grapefruit - Barry M £3.99

One of the things that excites me most about summer (well, besides the sunshine, bank holidays and bbqs), is the nail polish possibilities. Don't get me wrong, I love A/W berry shades, navy palettes and wintry mauves, but there is just something so alluring about summer nails. They scream fun and sunshine; be it perfect pastel shades, fluoro brights or going all-out and donning your nails with summery nail art, you have to admit it; summer nails rock.

I've been on the hunt for new summer shades to add to my ever-expanding polish collection, and when I saw the new Barry M Gelly Nail Paints in store I couldn't help but swoon over Grapefruit; a deliciously vivid coral-pink. The new Gelly paints are fab because they are seriously high-shine, making your nails look like they came straight from the salon. I've never actually had the luxury of trying out gel nails and the like, so these Gelly effect babies are a great substitute for me. Okay, so they don't last like gel nails, but they have that same gorgeous shine that make your nails look super sophisticated.

I'm in love with this shade and think it will look amazing with a tan when summer decides to show its beautiful sunny face. Like all Barry M Nail Paints, it is really opague, doesn't take long to dry and lasts a fair while before chipping. I love it.

Have you tried any of Barry M's Gelly Nail Paints? Are you looking forward to embracing summery nails?

Urban Decay Eyeshadows & Build Your Own Palette

Tuesday, 12 March 2013
L-R: Faint, Sidecar and Heartless Eyeshadows - £14.00 each
Close-ups of Moonflower and Sidecar (my favourites)
Me wearing Moonflower all over the lid, with Sidecar blended towards the outer-corner, and Faint on my brows

If I'm honest, I'm surprised that in my three years of blogging, I haven't actually done an in-depth review on an Urban Decay eyeshadow - and Urban Decay just so happens to be my favourite eyeshadow brand. Okay, so of course I joined the 'Naked' palette brigade and just had to review Urban Decay's beautiful neutral offering, but the truth is, I've always loved Urban Decay for its superb quality shadows.

I've been a fan of Urban Decay for quite a while - their sleek and sexy, effortlessly cool and unique take on things is what originally drew me to the brand, as well as their gorgeous limited edition palettes (I'm still heartbroken I never got my hands on the Alice in Wonderland palette, sob), and when I started sampling their shadows I never looked back. There is something a little extraordinary about Urban Decay's eyeshadows; they are beautifully, buttery soft and blend like an absolute dream. Their shimmering shadows are my absolute favourites; so finely milled and gorgeously silky, these shadows truly shine. I've only recently opened myself to the world of matte eyeshadows, and have to say, I'm just as impressed. At the moment I'm using the shadow 'Faint' to fill in my brows, and it's doing the job brilliantly. It definitely makes a good substitution for my HD Brow kit, which is nearing the end of its life (again, sob).

As I'm head over heels with Urban Decay eyeshadows, I thought it was about time I got myself a palette to put them all in. Afterall, Urban Decay are definitely the best when it comes to palettes, and their new little 'Build Your Own' palettes are perfect if you prefer using a palette as opposed to carrying around the single shadows. I noticed Urban Decay repackaged their eyeshadows a while back, and now I see why. Each shadow can be popped straight out of its original case and into the palette (no faffing around 'depotting' - I'm looking at you, MAC), and if you change your mind it just as easily pops back into its case. I think this is a fab idea and it excites me that I can chop and change which shadows I want in the palette, which is the ideal size for travelling, is a gorgeous purple design and comes with a super handy mirror. The best thing about the Build Your Own palette is you get one eyeshadow included to start you off, so technically your paying the price of a normal eyeshadow, but getting the palette thrown in - fab!

My palette came with the shade 'Moonflower' - a typically me shade; it's a light, shimmery bronze. It's a gorgeous shade if you're a fan of neutrals; I'm pretty sure it would suit anyone, although I can't wait to wear it in the summer with a golden tan. The pale pink shade in my palette is called 'Heartless', an unusual shade for me, but I just couldn't resist the dusty pink. It's matte and I think it would look great with a flick of black eyeliner. 'Faint' is also matte and perfect for the brows, although it looks fab on the lids too. 'Sidecar' is seriously gorgeous; a deep golden bronze, which is stunning and shimmery and everything I look for in a shadow. I would have loved to have included my all-time favourite eyeshadow 'Halfbaked', but my love affair with it means that, alas, I have run out... again.

I cannot recommend Urban Decay eyeshadows enough. Do you have any shadows by Urban Decay? What do you think to them? I'm currently lusting after the Limited Edition Theodora and Glinda Build Your Own palettes - NEED!

MAC Archie's Girls Betty Bright

Monday, 11 March 2013
Lipstick in Betty Bright - £15.50 MAC Cosmetics

As soon as I saw the imagery for the new MAC Archie's Girls collection, I knew I had to have at least ONE thing from the limited edition range. I'll admit, I am a total sucker when it comes to MAC's LE collections - mainly because I am a packaging junkie and can't resist the chance to add some 'rare' make up goodies into my collection, but also because MAC always seem to deliver. It's very rare I find a MAC product I'm disappointed with, so of course, I keep going back for more, and the buzz which inevitably surrounds such a range only encourages me further.

Whilst I was down in London, the Archie's Girls collection launched exclusively at Selfridges. I was in the mood to treat myself, and after a peruse of what the collection had to offer, I knew the 'Betty Bright' lipstick had to be mine. I was also EXTREMELY tempted by the 'Flatter Me' Face Powder but I (somehow) managed to restrain myself. It was fab being at Selfridges at the start of the launch, as there was loads of excitement surrounding it, with models posing as the characters from the comic series. To be honest with you, I'd never heard of Archie's Comics before seeing the collection - yet knew I NEEDED something, which I think just demonstrates the influence a make up force like MAC has.

So - what do I think to the lipstick? Well, I was a little taken aback when I was told '£15.50 please' - GASP - lipstick prices went up AGAIN?! When did that happen? But it wasn't enough to put me off purchasing such a beautiful lippy. I think Betty Bright is the epitome of the 'perfect' summer lip colour I always seem to be on the hunt for - a gorgeously bright coral-pink, in a satin formulation to really add some moisture and shine to the lips. I adore this lip colour - like all of MAC's lip products, it stays put, is ridiculously bright and beautiful and the finish is gorgeous. I must admit, however, that it is very similar to MAC's Nikki Minaj lippy, although it's slightly more coral. Although I already have this and I knew I HAD to have Betty Bright too - so perhaps not THAT similar? Unfortunately Betty Bright seems to be sold out online at the minute, but I definitely think it's worth checking out your local MAC counter!

Have you purchased anything from the Archie's Girls collection? What did you think?
