Chelsea Beautique Brow Kit in Light Brown* - £35.00
I'm always on the quest for the ultimate brow product. I love my brows big, groomed and glamorous. I'm definitely not that keen on the natural look, although I don't like really overly heavy brows either - I prefer somewhere in between. I've tried kits like HD Brows and Benefit's Browzings in the past, and I've reviewed some cheaper alternatives too, like W7's take on the HD Brow Kit.
I will always choose powder over pencil brow products because I feel powder products give you much more freedom when it comes to creating a strong but not overly drawn-on brow. Pencil products can look a tad too 'false' whereas you can make powder look as natural as you like.
So, when I was given the opportunity to review Chelsea Beautique's Brow Kit I jumped at the chance to try a new powder brow product. I'd not previously heard of Chelsea Beautique but I love trying out new and upcoming brands, especially where brow products are concerned, so it made perfect sense.
The kit has everything you need to get perfect brows - tweezers, powder, a double-ended brush and even stencils to get the perfect brow shape, as well as a pouch to keep everything in. Whilst I'm happy with my brows the shape they are, the addition of stencils would be ideal for someone looking to get their brows into the ideal shape for them. The tweezers and brush are great, but the thing I love the most about this kit is the powder. I've found with some powders (I'm looking at you Browzings) that a lot of fall-out occurs and the texture isn't quite right, whereas this glides on flawlessly and gives a gorgeous full coverage, which of course is buildable. It's described as a semi-permanent powder which I completely agree with, as it's water-resistant and completely smudge-proof. It is definitely one of the best brow products I've tried and I really love it.
Whilst I think the full kit is a tad over-priced at £35, the powder individually is £15, which I think is great. For the quality of it it's completely worth the money and I've been using it everyday since I got it.
What do you use for your brows? Are you a fan of powder brow products or do you prefer pencil?
