Who says you can't wear pastels in autumn? Not me, that's for sure. A fan of pastels year-round, I couldn't resist this beautiful H&M embroidered dress when I saw it on the website a few weeks ago. You all know I'm completely besotted with the embroidery trend (see this post for a little bit of embroidery inspo) and add in pastel pink, florals and lace, and I'm well and truly sold. It reminds me of something I would have worn when I was about five but that kind of makes me love it even more!
I just had to pair it with my beloved pink New Look coat from way back when, which has definitely served me well over the years (you can pick up a similar one here) and my new pink and blue tartan scarf from Asda. It reminds me of one I saw in River Island last year, but was a total steal at just £5, and I adore what it adds to this outfit (although, judging by the Asda website, it's actually meant for kids - OOPS!). I wore my Michael Kors watch along with some rose gold jewellery to match too, and think it looks really chic with the rest of the outfit.
I finished the look off with some super cute boots from Ego Official - I've become a bit obsessed with the Ego website recently as there are just SO. MANY. NICE. SHOES. Whereas a lot of online shops seem to be carbon copies of each other, I feel like Ego's shoes really stand out - they have everything from velvet heels to perspex boots, trainers and knee-highs. I picked up the Omari faux suede ankle boots* and they're quickly becoming my go-to boots this season.
Overall I really love this look and I think it's a perfect example of how you can break the so-called fashion "rules" and embrace the styles and shades you love no matter what the season!
